Soft rice and a few drops of ghee, for a child on solids
When a child already eats solid food, a small bowl of rice cooked until it mashes easily can be mixed with only a few drops of ghee. It is a plain home bowl, the sort families serve when they want something soft. It is not medical advice, not a treatment for fever, loose motions, poor weight, or a small appetite, and it does not replace a meal plan from a doctor.
Do not add honey. Do not add it for a baby who is not yet on solids, and do not offer moong water from another page to a baby under six months. If the child is limp, not drinking, vomiting often, or breathing hard, this bowl is the wrong response. See a doctor.
