Aloe Vera Gel and Amla Juice Dabbed on the Scalp

Fresh aloe vera gel is stirred with a spoon of amla juice and dabbed on the scalp, then rinsed if it feels sticky.

Kitchen still life of a cut aloe vera leaf with clear gel beside a small bowl of amla juice, daylight, no people and no text.

Aloe vera and amla dabbed on the scalp

This is a light dab, not an oil massage and not a cup poured over the head. Fresh aloe vera gel from the leaf is stirred with one spoon of amla juice. The mix is patted onto the scalp with clean fingertips and left for about ten minutes.

Keep it out of the eyes. Aloe and amla can sting on broken skin, so skip cuts and infected spots. Rinse if the scalp feels sticky. A short external dab may feel cooling. It is not medicine for burns, infection, hair loss, or any scalp disease.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon fresh aloe vera gel
  • 1 teaspoon fresh amla juice
  • A few extra drops of aloe vera gel if the amla juice feels too thin

How to prepare

  1. Scoop clear gel from a fresh aloe vera leaf and stir in one spoon of amla juice.
  2. Pick out any yellow leaf sap or green skin. Use the mix the same day.

How to use

  • Part the hair and dab the aloe vera and amla mix on the scalp with fingertips.
  • Leave it for about ten minutes. Do not cover the head with a tight cap.
  • Rinse with plain water if it feels sticky. Shampoo only if you need to.

Helpful habits

  • A fresh leaf is a better match than a perfumed bottle. Use only the clear inner gel.
  • Ten minutes is the sit. Longer is not more useful and can dry tacky.

Precautions

  • Keep aloe vera and amla out of the eyes. The yellow sap of the leaf can irritate skin.
  • Do not dab this on cuts, burns, or infected scalp skin.
  • External use only. It is not medicine for hair loss, infection, or burns.
