Fresh aloe vera gel for sun-tired skin
Aloe (ghritkumari) is cooling and calming. Fresh gel from a home plant is a simple way to soothe skin that feels hot and tight after time in the sun.

Ingredients
- 1 fresh aloe vera leaf from a home plant
- A few drops of rose water (optional)
How to prepare
- Cut a mature leaf at the base and stand it upright for 10 minutes to let the yellow sap drain away.
- Wash, slice off the spiky edges and peel away the green skin.
- Scoop out the clear gel and blend or mash it smooth. Add rose water if you like.
How to use
- Apply a thin layer to the affected skin and let it dry. Rinse after 20 minutes or leave on.
- Store leftover gel in the fridge for 2–3 days.
Precautions
- Always patch test first; some people are sensitive to aloe.
- Do not use the yellow sap (latex) — it irritates skin and should never be swallowed.
- Blistering, severe or widespread sunburn, fever or chills need medical care.
