Hibiscus and curd hair mask
Red hibiscus (gudhal) flowers and leaves have a soft, mucilaginous texture that leaves hair smooth. Mixed with curd, they make a cooling mask that many grandmothers swear by.

Ingredients
- 4–5 fresh hibiscus flowers and a few leaves (from an unsprayed plant)
- 3 tablespoons fresh curd
How to prepare
- Wash the flowers and leaves well.
- Grind them with a spoon of water to a smooth paste, then mix in the curd.
How to use
- Apply to the scalp and hair, cover with a shower cap and leave for 30 minutes.
- Rinse well with plain water. Use once a week.
Precautions
- Use only flowers you know have not been sprayed with pesticide.
- Skip during a cold or cough, as curd on the scalp is cooling.
- Patch test first if you have a sensitive scalp.
