Bedwetting is common and not the child's fault. These home remedies for bedwetting in children adjust the day's rhythm — more water earlier, less in the evening, no caffeine, a double toilet trip before bed, treating constipation — and, above all, stay calm and supportive.

Why children wet the bed

Many children wet the bed until 5–7 years of age, and some later. It often runs in families and is linked with deep sleep, a bladder that is still maturing and producing more urine at night. Constipation, stress, and in some cases urine infections, diabetes or sleep apnoea can also play a part.

In traditional Indian homes, a warm, early dinner and a calm bedtime routine are part of care; punishment is never helpful.
