Warm water with lemon and honey in the morning
A glass of lukewarm water with lemon and a little honey on waking is a popular way to rehydrate and gently get digestion moving. It supports — but never replaces — sensible eating and daily movement.

Ingredients
- 1 glass lukewarm water
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 teaspoon honey
How to prepare
- Warm the water until it is comfortably warm to drink — not hot.
- Stir in the lemon juice, then the honey.
How to use
- Drink slowly on an empty stomach, 20–30 minutes before breakfast.
- Rinse your mouth with plain water afterwards to protect tooth enamel.
Precautions
- Never mix honey into very hot water — Ayurveda advises against heating honey.
- Skip the honey if you have diabetes; skip the lemon if it triggers acidity or mouth ulcers.
- There is no drink that melts fat. Sudden unexplained weight gain or loss should be checked by a doctor.
